Hi guys..

Just been playing COD3 on my xbox360...But am really missing the keyboard & mouse from playing these first person shooters on a PC...

But i don't want to go back to PC gaming and have to spend about a £1000+ each year to keep up with hardware for playing the lastest games..

So Is the PS3 going have keyboard & mouse support for playing games ??

Not right away, it allows use of keyboard and mouse for surfing etc, but nobody has enabled it for gaming. I dont think it will be too long though.

The problems will come when someone allows kb and mouse for online gaming, as it will leave people using controllers at a disadvantage.

will KB/M be any fun in the livingroom? I mean with a controler you can sit back and relax, you have the freedom to change positions. Leave the keyboard and mouse at the desk imo.

Practice makes perfect.

Well considering Sony is marketing the PS3 as a 'Computer' I dont see why they wont implement keyboard/mouse support

Doubt it'll happen for games, because they'll be in the same situation the 360 is in. It'll unbalance the whole controllers vs mouse thing. The whole point of consoles is to have fixed hardware as well as controllers.

But everyone would have the option to use a gamepad or keyboard/mouse..

they are probably trying to accommodate newb's as best as possible. they know they would be perturbed by some leet hacker on a Key/b+mous combination, and these sheep will be the ones buying the most games/etc...

Thing is, this is a gaming forum, and a lot of the members here will have spawned from hardware and general lots of PC use, so this wont represent the vast majority of console owners out there I don't think. Personally, I prefer playing on the sofa, and a keyboard and mouse really aren't suitable for living room playing, you want something small and compact that does enough for you, like a control pad in my opinion.

Keyboard 'n mouse with a console is pretty easy tbh, I just used a tray back in the DC days. Q3 was a right hoot :D
