actually no but I felt the line was quite appropriate for this and so shamelessly stole it... Oh the irony of high-jacking a line from somewhere else for a thread about hacking etc..!! lolHowever, it’s a good point I felt.

The hacker/pirates that do this have no idea how much they hurt the industry as a whole. Developers put huge amounts of cash into their products and then rely on the sales to make a decent profit. The sense of entitlement some people have when it comes to games is shocking.
Lets be honest though, none of us cared when we had the PS1/2 dreamcast etc with hundreds of games for next to **** all.
Only now it hurts us through hacking do people start screaming outrage.
Most people I know still don't care because they will never connect the ps3 to the internet and will just have reams of free games.
It will destroy online gaming on the ps3 if they can't get a grip of it. I hated how quickly the 360 version of bioshock was hacked, never been back to it to see if they fixed it. Ruined was otherwise an enjoyable game. I guess it's been fixed now but I moved onto something else.
I guess they just put too much faith in blu ray as a media too expensive to copy and didn't cover other areas.

you only have to look at the popularity of R4 cards to realise this is all people care about.
Likewise the number of people who lap up crap quality camera movies at car boot sales because they're £2.
