is psu gd enough for xfire

cheers for the help guys, guess im gonna have to get another psu.

can anyone recommend a good 1, im also going to adding another 2x2tb hdd and another ssd

You don't really need a new PSU.

Like I said it'll likely do the job it's just more messy than a PSU with 4 PCI-E power connectors.

I suggest you try it before shelling out.

Use one "proper" PCI-E power connector and a connector from the molex adapters on each card.

to be honest m8 one pci-e cable alone powers my 6950 perfectly using both the 6 pins on the 1 cable

in 3d mark vantage i get 22k using either 1 cable or 2

the cable has an 6+2 and and 6 pin on the 1 cable, so i just used that to power my card and it works perfectly, have been playing the bf3 beta on ultra at 1080p with it setup like this and had no probs

so can i not use 1 cable for 1 card and the other cable for the other card? sorry i am not that clued up on power supplies

but i just think if i cant use them like that then why put 2 connectors on each cable if your only meant to use 1 of them

ok thought i would post a pic of the cable as im slightly confused

so is this cable no gd on its own to power 1 card

as you can see it has 2 6 pins and a 2 pin

currently i am using this 1 cable to power my card so in theory i could use the other cable to power the second card
