They seem to be able to talk the talk and make a lot of promises, although in the back of my head I have "Ponzi scheme". I have made an account and it looks like I need to pay about £30 before I can even purchase any shares of the so called project. Does anyone have any experience or can vouch for them in anyway? It also appears you need to be on a certain tariff to use them, however it's not made clear which one or if a smart meter is required.?

They aren't great, they aren't a scam either, just very bad ROI time wise. You'd save more with a single solar panel and a grid-tie inverter doing your base load.

Yes but you need to treat it like any other investment and there are far better investments which you’ll find with very little effort and they come with lower risk.

The main problems are

a) Huge amounts of the potential savings get eaten up by "network costs"
b) You have to use providers who support the scheme, which for many means going onto a less favorable tarrif, you can just "cash out" your generation
c) The buy in cost is usually not great vs home solar

Ive looked at all their schemes so far as I already have a roof full of solar, but none of it makes sense to go with currently.
