I thought I would put this thread in with regards to 4 sticks of Samsung DDRII 533Mhz Memory I have sat in my machine.
In all the upgrades and builds I have done, I do try and go for the old 'bang for buck' hardware that can take what its purpose is for.
Throughout the past few weeks I have been playing about with them to see what performance I can gain from overclocking them and to be honest they have quite frankly blown me away with regards to how they perform.
Now i'm no overclocking wizard but I managed to get them to 640Mhz with timings of 4-4-4-10 under 1T. I got them to 667mhz with no issues at all with 5 loops on memtest but dropped them back again as 640Mhz was fast enough for me. There has been suggestions that it is quite difficult to set 4 sticks of memory under 1T but I have and its as stable as a rock.
I just thought I would share my findings with you all
