Is Spending £650+ on a GPU really worth it?

Its your money at the end of the day you have to make up your own mind and not have other people do it for you.

I'm using a 980Ti and have no intention to upgrade yet a top end GPU will last longer than lower one.

I change mine about every two to three years.

There are a number of factors -

1. What resolution your monitor is? Of course a 1440p is going to be a lot more difficult to drive than a 1080p.
2. What games you play? Some mmo's, for example, you can get a load of players in one place at one time which needs a hefty GPU to maintain a reasonable frame-rate.
3. Whether you want to play then at "Ultra" or you are happy at less?
4. What frame-rate you want. Are you happy at 30fps or do you want 120fps? Or do you live to tell your friends that your card can run the original Doom at 2389fps?
5. Future proofing.

There are probably more, but my excuse is I need a coffee....
