I'm logged in here, currently downloading Mortal Kombat X, although GTAV seems to be stuck at the installation stage "Creating local game cache files..." Been like that for around 20 mins. :/

I was on Steam about 20mins ago but Project CARS kept crashing, so decided to do some updates and restart the machine to try and help but can't get back in now...

no but was like that for me last night.

couldn't even play GTA V because when steam is offline rockstars stupid launcher tells you some crap about a steam error SIGH

I'm goling to download the crack assuming it's been cracked for the next time steam is offline or my inet dies.

ridiculous that it has it's own drm with rockstar anyway.... but still needs steam to be online WTF!!!!!

HMMM this must be why my GTA Online wouldnt launch this morning then. When I tried, the loading icon on the GTA Online loading screen stopped spinning then kicked me back out to Desktop. I've not been able to log on to Steam the last 2 hours or so and I can't play GTA now. Well this sucks for my day off

It's sporadic recently. Just keep trying to connect it took me 4 attempts.

it's not always down for everyone though it's like those old IRC netsplits where half the channel would disappear but everyone else would stay online

Working fine for me. Was down yesterday a little bit, which I suspect was because of the GTA launch.
