Whoeva has played star wars the old republic, is it worth getting? I mean im stcuk between BF3 and swtor, i got college and a full tiem job so i rarely get any time to play video games so i was wandering is swtor bieng a MMO was worth the time investing, BF3 i can just log on and kill people so it wnt be hard ranking up

Imo yes, it's early days but I'm pleased with it so far.

They've got a few bugs to sort and some nice QOL things to add but on the whole it's very good :)

A few weeks ago I would have said yes, get it but tbh I got bored. Levelling to 50 was pretty good, nice story etc and throw in some PvP. But getting to 50 doesn't take long at all, think it took me a week. So then I hit 50 and within a week I had full epic gear, we had cleared the ops flashpoints etc. I'd also been playing a fair bit of PvP - huttball loved it! anyway a couple of weeks later after running premades all the time full pvp gear and battle master rank.. so then what, do the dailys for the bags, PVE content cleared in a day.. got boring pretty quickly.

So buy it or not, I'd say buy it for the story, enjoy the levelling and PvP but don't expect the fun to last, if you're happy with that go for it. If you're getting it to be occupied every minute for the next months/years then probably not.

On the plus side they have/are releasing new content but not for me, shame :(

waste of £45 quid for me o well ;) , The only mmo ive never done a sub , even played WAR for 4 months lol

I wouldn't say I wasted my money, but wish I hadn't gotten the CE. Oh well, combined with a busy time in work, had put me off gaming full stop tbh. Not necessarily a bad thing.

A no from me as well. Was fun for a couple of weeks, and some are still playing it. Check out the thread for the low down, maybe only the last 30 pages or so :)

It's been a waste of money for me. Such potential and I was ultimately let down by the crappy combat and lack of feel that the game promised to have.

get bf3 mate, it'll fit into your time better. Doesn't sound like you'd enjoy much of the group stuff, although you could try to enjoy the slightly bland pvp.

But get bf3 :p

I've found it worth the £45 and will sub for a few months. I don't get much time to play, Maybe only 6-7 hrs a week but I think that's why I've enjoyed it so much as I've not been rushed into reaching level 50 and got bored with a current lack of end game content.

I think it will only improve if I'm honest. It might be a slow start but I'm not worried about that as by the time I reach level 50 I'm sure there will be improvements.
