IS the AMD 9000 Series worth it

with everything that has gone on with the new AMD 9000 Series of CPUs I am wondering if it was worth it for the performance return of 10%!!? (if that)

will X3D offer more for gamers (presume most people game on here)

I am just thinking the gains arnt worth it?

What do you lot reckon ?

ah yes, move from an early Ryzen system to a 9000 series makes sense but a 7000 series is cheaper but 7000/9000 series are able to run in the same motherboards.

These 870 and 870-e motherboards have PCI-e 5.0?

That’s the issue - extra frames - debatable if there are any and you’d expect at least 10% + and not 3% that’s been put out there on the articles benching them. So if you are saying 3% is what it is then fine. To me it might be that Intel new cpu might offer that and AMD have stalled

I was defo thinking of going 9000 series from 5000 series but the actual improvements although an improvement simply isn’t enough to justify it. I do game so maybe the X3D chips will enough to justify the cost

All my games are ok at 1440p. Yes the 9000 series are better but I was thinking not much better than the 7000 series or not better enough. Let’s see what the x3d are capable of

It’s 20% per release at best but the 9000 isn’t more than 10% faster than the 7000 series at best.

ok ill take another look at the benchies. If it’s a 25% difference between 9000 and 7000 in some workloads then ok
