is the biostar ta790gx any good ? , i plan on replacing my msi ka790gx which is a poor overclocker

The performance isn't the greatest on that board.

The premium is worth it.

From what I've read the biostar is a very capable board but if you are over clocking you must add heatsinks to the voltage regulation transistors, you can see them near the top of the board between the cpu socket and the rear socket area.
