Is the canon 24-105 still a worthy purchase?

Jessops currently doing 24months interest free on several canon lenses, they have the 24-105 L lense for ~£700. it's with official canon box, I know you can get a white box for £400-£500 but the ones with a canon box seem to be ~£700.

Thanks for the replies, only reason I was looking was due to the 24month intrest free with zero deposit. They have the 24-70 2.8 think it's mkii for £1600 but even with 24months intrest free it's a bit out of my price range and usage level(I'm not a pro).

Why not get an interest free credit card then buy a grey copy?

I've tried to avoid credit cards over the years, only had a credit card when I opened a student account first year of uni but canceled it after awhile and not had a credit card since.

It's a minefield, which do you get? Then you ditch it after the interest free period has ended, get a new one if you want/need something else and so the cycle continues.

Just saw on camera price busters that the 'Indian takeaway' people are doing it for £659 currently, the rainforest had it for £599 a few days back but now £663. Jessops still have it for £749.

Still more than grey import, but for an UK canon retail box copy is that a good price?
