Is the DSi completely pointless?

The DS and DSlite can do everything the DSi can do apart from take photos if you know where to look and I'm pretty sure there's only one game that uses the camera and that's not even out here yet. I think even new people to the DS may as well get a DS or DSlite because there being hardly any difference and they'll save £60 cheaper.

Do Nintendo really think there's people will buy DSi if they already own a DS or DS Lite? Many other people bought the DS because it's a lot cheaper than a PSP but now the DSI is the same price as a new PSP3000 which is so more advanced than the DS.

I love DS lite it's great if you miss good old 2D platformers. I just don't like companies trying to rip people off regardless which company is doing it.

Rom emulation is just as easy on the DSI as it is on The DSlite. Lets not get into that though.

Wouldn't it have been better for Sony and Nintendo to invest in developing a true next gen handheld instead wasting money?
