Is the Gigabyte DS3 quad core compliant?

As title. A friend asked me last night if the gigabyte DS3 is quad core compliant with or without a bios update?

Yes it is mate. I think it was introduced in the F6 BIOS

I believe the DS3 is Quad Core Capable.

If your after the 1333MHz FSB i did read somewhere that the Revision 1 Motherboards are not capable of this new FSB as they brought out new Revisions 2 and then another Revision 3 with a 1333MHz FSB and claimed they where the first for native support using the new Revision, I did read this somewhere can't put my finger on it.

You want to source the Revision 3.3 boards if you want 1333Mhz FSB support.
You may like to know that I ordered a DS3 from OcUK yesterday for my brothers new build and the board that has arrived this morning is a Revision 3.3

Mine said on the outside of the box Revision 3.3
However as the post above says it should also be marked on the board (usually white stencil writing).

Yep, in the bottom left hand corner, next to the last pci slot. Mine from 2 weeks ago was a 3.3
