Is the new G.Skill 26CL memory fine to purchase?

Purchasing a new computer with the following specs (5070 Ti, 9800x3d), and because I'm going to be on 1080p and play competitive games (such as Overwatch, all low settings, uncapped FPS), I wanted to purchase low-latency memory. I saw that G.Skill has 26CL memory kits available, for a premium price, and I'm just wondering if I can expect any issues purchasing these kits. I have found almost zero information from buyers who have purchased these kits. The motherboard I am purchasing is still tentative, but I plan to drop <=300 on one.

It is to my knowledge that 6000 MHz is best for the 9800x3d, and the lowest CAS you can find on this frequency, the better. If this 26CL might have "stability" issues and require tweaking out of the box (I'm not too skilled when it comes to memory OC'ing), I'll probably purchase 28CL instead (if it's better from a stability POV, while offering similar latency).

There’s not really enough evidence to say that they are or are not worth the extra cost.

A member has a kit of CL26 (IIRC) and they have said that the performance improvement isn’t great.

I’d either wait for actual reviews or just buy 6000CL30.

There’s almost zero chance that CL26 RAM will be worth the almost 3X price difference.
 
Let's do some maths - CL26 is 15.38% faster in speed (purely synthetic in theory) than CL30 yet CL26 is how much more expensive than CL30?

Unless it's at parity and the tighter latency results in actual performance uplift in games, it isn't worth it.

Also, OP, if you're not a bot, you're not allowed to mention competitors on this forum. I see you're in the States and just so you are aware, this is a UK based forum/retailer.
 
The x3d chips aren't as latency sensitive because of their larger L3 cache. I would highly suspect that unless you're chasing every last 0.1% gains, getting the cl26 with a much higher cost would be an exercise in futility. There's also no guarantee that the CPU imc will handle 6000c26 even with voltage tweaking.

Tl;Dr: 6000c30 is fine.

Exactly this ^

Even if you don’t have an X3D CPU, spending twice as much on RAM doesn’t get you twice the performance.

Edit: I see OP hasn’t gone past the 1 forum post so I think they’re either a bot or realised that this forum was UK based or just wanted to validate their choices.
