Is the P180 the quietest case?

Or is there something better out there?

I'm after something that will stop fan and HDD vibration noise?
The P180 has multi layered panels which are supposed to deaden any sound coming from the inside unlike normal cases with single steel or aluminium panels...does this make a big difference?

Also if the P180 is the one to get which PSUs have long enough 12v power cables?
I've been thinking of a Tagan modular (quiet single 120mm fan) or would i be better off buying something else?

PS i currently have a Sonata II but i'm not happy about the HDD vibration noise it seems to be picking up from my Spinpoint P120S 250Gb.

I used a Antec Sonata 2 case for a build, and that was next to silent, with a very faint rumble noise from the hdd when I was installing XP, and I can imagine that being completley silent if there was foam padding.

Maybe it is your hdd that is the problem. I used a Western Digital hdd on that build.

The Hiper tpye R P4 connector is too small in the case, check the legnths for comparison with that.

Well the hard drive i originally bought was a WD Caviar SE16 SATA2 320Gb (3200KS) and that caused the same vibration so i sent it back and got the Spinpoint which causes the same slight vibration but slightly less than the WD.
I've even mounted the HDD in a Zalman heatpipe cooler/anti-vibration mount and its again better than what it was but it still not as quiet as the setup it replaced which was a 36Gb Raptor and ATA100 Barracuda IV 80Gb....which is odd cus the Raptor is seen as a noisy drive (when reading/writing the head noise is noisy granted).
If i physically feel the Samsung when its powered up (in my hand) it does vibrate more than the Raptor does....cant possibly have 2 faulty drives one after the other surely.

Leads me to think my case isnt manufactured correctly or something!
