Is the PS3 slim faster then the PS3 fat ?

Is the PS3 slim network/internet connection speeds & dashboard faster then the older fat PS3 ??

As i have always found my Fat PS3 downloads are very slow (I tried wired & wireless connections) and the dashboard /PS store is very slow..

Nope. The wireless adapter has better reception, but I doubt it would improve your download speed.

Are you on Virgin by any chance? Quite a few people experience issues with them on the PSN, many claim it's because they throttle the bandwidth to the PSN but I'm yet to see any concrete evidence.

Same here, PSN is painful when downloading, 120mb and I'm lucky if I get 5 or 10.
