No, driver support for RDNA2 will likely continue for many years yet, but it will be less of a priority.

I'd imagine with 9xxx series cards due very soon that 6xxx series drivers are taking a backseat for now.

Would have thought 7800/7900xt, but wait for the new cards to be released as you may save some cash.

as fair as the GPU go's just grab a 7900xt and your set, but moving from a 6600 i would assume you need a PSU too

I'd wait for the new AMD cards, the top one 9070 XT may be perfect for you and you shouldn't have to spend that much.
