I currently have a ryzen 7 1800x and want to upgrade. I am looking to get the Ryzen 7 5800x and want to know if it will work with my motherboard - MSI gaming pro carbon AC. Any replies would be appreciated, thanks.

Yes it will work just fine assuming you update the BIOS.

Amusing it is the B450 chip set? Yes but you will have to update the BIOS to 7B85v1F4

Yes it works fine, with 1xxx, 2xxx, 3xxx and 5xxx CPU's
