Is the Samsung Neo G7 worth it for £720?

Hi,

I was wondering if the Samsung Neo G7 is worth buying for £720.

Looking for a monitor with excellent contrast as I've been spoiled by my current TV.

The DWF is cheaper but probably less versatile and isn't 4k. I thought the G7 would be better for doing non-gaming tasks but the curve might not make it a brilliant option for dual purpose?

I have one, and I'd say it's worth it (I bought one when they cost more than that and don't regret it). The contrast is indeed really, really good. With FALD, large black areas appear just as dark as if the monitor was powered off, and the peak brightness is pretty high.

The curve is weirdly non-constant, but it's not a problem for general use. I wouldn't want to use if for things like CAD though. I think the curve is as aggressive as it is because of the poor viewing angles, so the monitor is also not good for any use where the viewer isn't sat right in the middle.

For gaming it's awesome of course.
