Hey guys,

I have my setup running pretty sweat now...and have had no problems with the MB so im wondering if it will be worth RMAing as I will not need the extra SATA ports, (currently use 3 out of the 4 safe ones).

IS everyone RMAing their boards??

If you want to sell your board in the future it will be difficult if it is one of the broken ones. You may want to use those extra ports at some point in the future then you'll be sorry you didn't exchange it for a new one.

I'll be RMA'ing mine broadly for the reason (resale) listed above. Trying to sell a "knackered" one will imo be a nightmare with people knocking you down on price even if they have no intention of using the ports.

That said I don't think I'll be in any particular rush to RMA it, unless there's an incentive to do so or a limited period where it is free shipping, or whatever.

Don't own a sandy bridge board but if the manufacturers are willing to replace the faulty boards then it is definitely worth doing in my opinion. As mentioned even if it doesn't affect you, its probably better to do it in the long run

i'll be RMA'ing & i don't use the affected ports either, but Asus look like they'll be doing a like for like swap so i shall be getting rid, purely & simply because B2 chipset boards will be worth peanuts once the B3's come along.

This is the main reason why im sending mine back
