hey all, I have a pc (see sig) which is high powered (aside from graphics) and the door has snapped off my case. I have seen this new shuttle and have a few questions about it as it looks quite good.

My e6600 runs hot, about 55degreesC idle, would the shuttle cope? (would probs get a 45nm cpu and OC a little anyway on release)
I see some of the new cpus are 1600fsb, would the shuttle have a bios update to accomodate for this you think?
I plan on getting the 9800gts (or something like that) on release, would the psu be powerful enough?
I like quiet pcs, are shuttles generally loud?
This shuttle does not support ddr3, but iirc ram speed doesnt do THAT much anyway?

As the motherboard is obviously not changeable, I would seriously consider getting vista OEM:)
I also have 4 hard drives so would sell 2 and get 1 big one ro replace them. The whole small pc thing would help as I am at uni and travel a lot with the pc. Also I use no pci cards.

any help is appreciated, thanks

Look around - its not hard to find reviews and forums where people have posted their views and rigs.

CPU will be fine and the PSU can take 2 x 8800GTs etc so no problems there. Only concern I have is about Shuttle themselves. As I said - look around see what you think :)

IIRC its designed to take the new 45nm CPUs, so id imagine it will get updated for all the new gear in the future.

Heat wise, obviously they can get hot, especially in overclocking. The PSU should be alright as long as the new hardware doesnt need a power station, it can comfortably take whats out at the minute.

Im due to get mine tomorrow, adn proving I get a working one this time ill try to do an in depth review and put it up here in the next few days.

No bother, itll be in this section, so it wont be hard t miss, but ill link it all the same. Providing i dont get another dead on arrival unit that is

Got it up and runnign now, gonna haev a couple of days play with it to check stability etc then ill get a review up.

At the minutes ive got:
Q6600
4GB 6400 OCZ
80GB SATA HDD (Bought a 250GB but its dead)
Leadtek 8800GTS 640mb

All voltages seem bang on the rails where they should be and ive had a go on crysis, seems to be around 35-45 FPS on high for everything with no AA.
