Is the theme of the OC forum a tad outdated and hard to read

Hi all
I couldn't find a better place to put this and I'm sure there will be some people who disagree but I think that the OC forum could use a bit of a revamp.

It's looking a tad early 2000s but with high res textures.

Looking at a few other forums I'm on and they are easier to read and less chaotic.

I know that it's a theme and OC are correct in being consistent in their theme choice between the sales side and the forum side but I think that the theme could be kept just with a slightly better layout.

Happy to keep using it as it's a great source of information.

Edit: I changed the theme to black and it's a lot better. Still a touch web 2000s with the size of icons and the structure but a lot better.

Edit Edit: seems I'm very wrong and the theme is beautiful. Sorry if I offended anyone. I shall beat myself for being so insolent.

Regards,
JJ

I disagree. It's what makes it OcUK Forums.

Have you tried changing the colour?
This is 100% what I expected. It's the theme that always has been the theme and it's an community that gets on fine so don't change it.

Happy with that, just asking the question.

The second hand forum section is terrible with old outdated threads and current threads all bunched together.

High res textures?

Is that with the optional Ultra texture pack that you download that won't run on a 10Gb Graphics card?
Well, higher than 480i res that’s for sure.

Banners and so on are all able to upscale to 1440P without being fuzzy or distorted so that’s why they are high res.

I’m sure that the old textures were meant for 720P max.

I like it, but can't help to notice that the forum seems to be in gradual decline in terms of active users. It certainly feels that way in the Life section.
Only natural with the cost of living crisis and most people having upgraded their PC during lockdown.
