On the Asrock 939 dual, is it worth doing the vcore mod to get it to 1.55v

Is 1.55v to high for a Venice 3000 aswell...

What are the risks, is it easy to do, has anyone got any past espernace or done it successfully ;)

Yes

Its not very clear...

"NB- link speed"
Chnage to 4x or whatever :P

It is not like in intervals of 1x,2x,3x,4x,5x

Its like 200mhz,400mhz,600mhz you know what I mean ;)

Hope that helps

I done the mod last week, once I had done the mod the pc wouldn't boot (didn't use proper tools), it would stay on a black screen. I went back to the board and removed the conductive paint and tried again and now it's working fine.
Before the mod my X2 would only go to 2.5ghz, it will now go to 2.65ghz and further on stock cooler.

If you do the VID4 mod then you can choose any voltage between 1.175 - 1.55V. So you could set it to 1.5V if you think 1.55V is too high

It was quite easy to do if you have the right tools. I'd recommend getting some conductive paint and use a thin tipped paint brush to do the mod.

The main risk is that the motherboard might not work once it has been done.

1.55v is fine if you have good decent cooling. BTW is there a way to change the HT multiplier on that board? My cousin baught one and I didn't see that option in the bios.
It's in the chipset options, it's called CPU-NB link speed.

600mhz - 3x
800mhz - 4x
1000mhz - 5x
