I don't know since I've never used them. Hopefully though the authors of those comments I mentioned will drop in and offer their thoughts. I'll see if I can find them with a search (the comments).
What Hi-fi do tend to rate everything 5 stars though, and it's not exactly an accurate scoring system. I'm sure the Aego M will be as good as anything that goes under the name 'PC speakers' though.
It is possible to go the hi-fi route for your PC. My setup is Eltax Monitor 3 bookshelfs + Sonic Impact t-amp, which would be about £110 total (including adaptor for the t-amp), maybe cheaper if you shop around. While it's not quite as good as my hi-fi (as it shouldn't be at 1/8th the cost), it's not far off either and gives a very satisfying sound for music/games on my PC.
