Anyone know if the X1950XT 256mb is better than the 7900GTO512mb?

LoadsaMoney said:Yup my bad, im forgetting that if you OVERCLOCK a GTO it will be faster than a STOCK x1950 XT, which is obvious isn't it really, and also that the x1950 XT must remain at stock as it can't be overclocked, so GTO it is, sorry.![]()

Alex R said:Why? I have just installed one and used the (can't remember what it's called) automatic overclock tool in the catalyst control centre thingy and it overclocked. At least I am pretty sure it did, I didn't notice the original settings for the core and the memory.
Cheers

Yes, Loadsamoney was obviously being sarcastic, but it just goes to show how things can sometimes be missintrerpreted online.
SidewinderINC said:he was being sarcastic as easyrider always says "when *y* is overclocked its better than *x* at stock" which is a pointless argument as both cards can be clocked.
of course the X1950XT can be overclocked![]()
