Is the XBox One Controller Still The Best VFM For Driving Games On PC?

Re-installed Mad Max yesterday only to find that my 4 year old Xbox One controller has given up the ghost. It wasn’t entirely reliable before our move due to drop damage.

To my horror, a replacement appears to cost double what I paid for mine in 2015.

Are they still the go-to controller for PC driving games or is there something better for less money nowadays?

was a deal a little while ago where you were getting the wired one for pc for £30 from a very reputable place so wasn't a fake either.

i seem to get roughly a year outta mine with solid use left joystick each time pulling to the right on its own being the fault on past three. it's still the best controller for pc imo

ive been using an xbox 360 controller for quite a few years (10+) and its still working problem free.

I bought my Xbox One pad when the console released and still going strong on my PC.

I want to get one of the newer ones so I can use it wireless. I don't really use it for driving games but 3rd person action games it has been a joy to use

I’m a heavy-handed muppet when it comes to game controllers. No idea why as I’m super careful with everything else.

Will have to trawl the French gaming stores for a deal on a new Xbox or Xbox One controller.

Same, mines a wired white one, it came from play.com which gives you an idea of how old it is.

Oh man that's a relic! Used to love Play.com but never once used it since it became whatever the nonsense it was after. Getting your games a day early was always fun.

And get one with a textured grip. That feels so great in the hands.

Yeah I've heard it's really comfortable! Though I think I'll wait for the new Xbox to come out and grab a controller for one of those
