I see on the News today that the PS3 is 3D enabled and now selling a few games on the Playstation Network which will be in 3D.

I see the 3D TV's are quite expensive but wondered if there were 3D monitors at a cheaper amount that are compatible with the upcoming PS3 3D games??

Thanks.

I too am confused about standards with 3D
Like would the PS3 output 3D to the Acer 24'' 120hz monitor?
I hope so cos I want to play wipeout HD in 3D soon!

From my understanding you wont be able to use any of the current 120Hz monitors as they do not have any onboard drivers or the capability of syncing with glasses on their own. These monitors rely on drivers from nVidia, DDD, iZ3D on your PC to display 3D content.

With these latest 3DTVs drivers are onboard and the active shutter glasses supplied are made specifically to sync with each manufacturers display.

pointless getting anything 3d right now cuz u know in a year or 2 it will change and we'll all have to buy another tv or something.
