No, there is not a demo. Only Demo available is Half-Life 2, that's it for Source based games.

You could buy an old copy of HL1 and that comes free with the ability to play CS. Its much like CSS except slightly different physics and lesser graphics, same maps and tatics though.
You might as well just buy CSS though, its the most popular game on the internet for good reason and you should have no problem selling it if you disagree

Except for the fact CS 1.6 has over 3 times the number of players than CS:S still.

I'm sure there's more people playing WoW anyway, it's probably the most popular FPS game though.

css by far is better than 1.6 in my oppinion, but 1.6 has been out for 7 years or so? so its not suprising it has more players

It doesnt impress me anymore, as i dont play it. played it for a year and a half and it sucked, but i found it more entertaining than 1.6 i played cs since like 1.4.
bf2 is the game of the moment so far

although it requires less skill than css

Ive just got into it, i bought and completed HL2 ages ago and only just tried CSS out. Im loving it at the moment, im rubish at it but still get enjoyment from killing an enemy every now and again. Its all about the headshot, im allways aiming at the chest area for a better chance of a hit like i do in Raven shield, but then i get smoked before ive killed them. Ive realised now that you have to aim for the head every time and you get a lot more kills. Theres allways players online no matter what time you go on, unlike quake 4 where there are only a handful of servers with people on. Get it IMO it should be fairly cheap now and youll also be able to play the exellent HL2 into the bargain.

Lol so true.
So glad i have not had the miss fortune to play a match on source for ages.
1.6 will always have a fan base cause it will run well on any pc...also involves some skill ...rather than running and spraying feet for head shots

Oh DaveyD there is another Davey-D playin 1.6 who is quite frankly turd. Would give him an e-slap and tell him to get a new alias before people think your cack

cant remember what clan he was playing for but they were very low
|FSW| in some order i think.
