Is there a decent free pdf editor out there anywhere ?

I need to edit a bit of text, nothing fancy.
Don't want any software watermarks on the edited document either.

I cannot remember the specifics, but the last time I did this some time ago I used google docs.
iirc moving the document so it was saved under my cloud account rather than being local just made it magically editable.

I've used Foxit PDF editor in the past (portable edition) not sure where I picked it up or if it's been superseded with one they called PhantomPDF, but it was ok and seemed to do what I needed
