  1. Hardware decodes h264/h265
  2. Can passthrough AC3/DD and DTS
  3. Has an officially supported Netflix app
  4. Can stream from a NFS export without transcoding

Currently have a NAS, Acer Revo L70 and a Onkyo Receiver. It does the job quite well, but it would also be handy to have something with an "official" Netflix app - mainly for ease of use for other users.

Have looked at things like the Chromecast (no DTS passthrough) Amazon Fire (no NAS streaming?) etc but can't quite find something that fits all the criteria above.

I'm aware there's a unofficial port of the Netflix app, but given how quicky apps for Kodi/XMBC self destruct (tvcatchup, anyone?) I'd rather get something knowing it has a supported app.

Cheers,

Doesn't need to be, it's just another app you install, it has it's own Netflix app. :)

It doesn't have to be but it's kind of nice, as I've previously mentioned I've had apps for XMBC/Kodi randomly become unusable for a variety of reasons, TVCatchup and 4od being a couple.
