Is there a diference between i7 920 and 950?

I just wanted to find out if the weakest skt 1366 cpu is different from the others is any other way apart from clock speed. Like i know that the i5 750 has Hyperthreading disabled compared to the 860 and 870. So are there any side effects for picking the 920?

The 950 is just clocked higher by about 400mhz, not really worth it over the 920 - even tho i have limited knowledge of i5/i7 i think many will agree.

All i7 9x0 chips have the same capabilities just clocked higher or lower.

920 is x20/x21 with turbo. 950 is x22/x23 with turbo.

Since (many) motherboards top out around 220 bsck, the 950 is needed for the higher speeds. If you're cooling with air there's no difference whatsoever, under water there's not much. Were you under phase, you wouldn't be asking what the difference was.

So you want the 920
