Is there a difference between H/+ And 3G on a phone signal?

H+ is HSPA+ which is a form of 3G.

I'm pretty sure Android won't actually say 3G apart from when the phone is idling. It might show H which is HSPA, another form of 3G.

Technically EDGE is 2.75G. H, H+, LTE are also all 3G. GPRS is 2.5G.

Wrong. Look up the technical requirements for 4G. LTE does not fulfill those requirements.
