Ive seen the dangerden heatercore knocking about at various places in the UK, but ive seen a heatercore in america which looks very similar, but it black in colour, so will match my case very well :D

The only thing i was bothered about was the performance? Are heatercores generic, or will the performance of the Dangerden heatercore be superior to that of the one ive seen in the US?

They do all look alike, don't they! It's a hazard I suppose of them all being chosen for a particular size. Look for depth as much as height and width. Look for a reasonable sized plenum chamber.

Personally I have a Chevy heatercore which is fine but at nearly 2" deep, it requires a fairly powerful fan to really cool well. If I had unlimited funds and was rebuilding today, I think I'd go with a PA120.2 externally mounted using a Swiftech Radbox and just let a nice quiet 120mm case exhaust fan wash over half the rad.

State which one you've seen and where... the fedco database for heatercores that folks are using stateside consists of a few hundred different variants, with various FPIs, depths etc etc... a heatercore is merely a heatercore from a car - as many car models as there are out there, there's the same if not more various models of heatercores to go with em, so all depends where you're looking.

I saw it at an online retailer in the US, cant say where becuase they have competitive products.

Dimensions: 12" x 5.5" x 2" (tanks included)
Name: Black Dual 120mm Heater Core (Dual Pass)

Thats the only info that is available on the site.
