Is there a fix for this?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this issue. When i restart the screen is fine for about a second then goes to horizontal coloured lines with a 1 inch white bar scrolling down the page. Occasionally it nearly clears but reverts back.

If i plug in a monitor via hdmi (it's a 2013 13" Macbook Pro) it's fine on the monitor and eventually the lines clear on the Macbook but it continues to flicker slightly.

Sounds like possibly the ribbon cable or something, pretty sure that era suffered from it.

Perhaps I'm being flippant, but usually it's nice to have some form of a clue in the title, such as 'MacBook Pro 2013 display issue' rather than 'is there a fix for this?' and having to go into the thread to see what the topic is about, hence click bait.

It's been plugged into a monitor for about an hour and the macbook screen has gone back to normal so it's a strange one.
