Is there a guide for making your own VGA/PSU cable's?

I want to make my own 6pin VGA cables with new plugs , braided sleeves etc.

It's easy to buy the parts as they are readily available but I would like to look at any guides for making them that are out there before I purchase any components.

I've google and Youtube searched but it has brought up anything

Can anyone point me in the right direction or leave a link where there may be such a guide?

Look at 'cable and sleeving' at http://www.overclock.net/f/17973/cables-and-sleeving there is large swathes of info on cables etc..
Also check out forums of your appropriately branded psu as there tends to be threads about lengthening etc..

Also consider using the word 'fabricating' (or similar) which should search tighten parameters.
