on the hard drive size i can fit in a laptop...

read some where 120gb might be a limit on older laptops..

its a hp compaq nx6110

drive controllers need to be 48-bit LBA aware to use drives bigger than 128GB

its entirely possible that old laptop motherboards just don't support 48-bit LBA, and still use the older 28-bit LBA.

thanks...any way i can confirm this before buying a hard drive upgrade nothing i can find on the compaq site..
