I was curious if there was a minimum FPS required for FreeSync to work? I currently have a 60Hz FreeSync monitor hooked up to an Nvidia 1080Ti with the latest GPU drivers installed. The monitor is an LG 27UK650 and is hooked up to my GPU via DisplayPort.

Any help is appreciated.

I think the range for that monitor is 40-60fps that said you can manually adjust the range lower than 40 with CRU if your regularly dropping below this.

Cool. Thanks. I hope my machine can handle 40fps at 4k. It should be able to but I haven't done much in the way of gaming benchmarks on my computer. I'm really waiting to install Linux on it instead of Windows 10 and then I'll play around with everything at that point.

Depends on the game of course but play around with the settings and you can easily hit 60fps+ with a 1080ti. Turn off Motion Blur, Post processing and 4k doesn't need much anti-aliasing.

You need to go into Nvidia Control panel> Display>setup Nvidia Gsync>Enable Gsync/gsync compatible (enable for full screen mode)> Enable settings for selected display model.
