is there a sort of Mobile phone/PDA with built in GPS, INternet and maybe the possiblily for remote desktop on the market?

There's probably a dozen, have a search around, everyman and his dog are jumping on the GPS market now days.

dunno about remote desktop but the Nokia N95 and XDA Orbit / MDA compact 3 both have onboard GPS and internet facilities.

XDA Orbit does all this. Remote desktop is a bit gash on anything less than a vga screen though.

I just got an XDA Orbit which im very impressed with! Does everything and the satnav is very useful to have on u all the time. Needs abit of customisation from 3rd party software but now its sweet! not a bad size aswell.

Remote desktop? Is this just terminal services by another name?

I use it on my MDA Pro to control my XPP desktop, works fine for me when on wifi, impossible on anything else.

my HTC Trinity does all this, but it takes a while for it to get a GPS signal
