Is there a C2D motherboard that supports DDR1 and DDR2?

As per title.
My brother wants to upgrade his aging old rig:

AMD 3500+
ASUS A8N-SLI
2GB DDR Twinmos ram
ATI X800XL 256MB

Into the Conroe setup but dont want to spend huge amounts of money. THinking of getting an C2D E6600 and a Ati X1950XT without having to spend more money on ram. He wants the option to upgrade in the future for DDR2 ram.

There is a Asrock one knocking about, OCUK unfortuntely dont sell it so I cant link you.

Asrock 775DUAL-VSTA VIA PT880

Supports both AGP/PCI-E and DDR1/DDR2. Not the greatest performing mobo but not bad either. Not good for overclocking and doesnt support the new G80 gfx cards from nVidia. But it is damn good value at £35.

Hmm I did look into that. But wondered for other motherboard.
Guess if my brother wants to hop onto the C2D setup he needs the DD2 ram as well.

To my knowledge there is no other mobo.

If i was to sell these bits to a friend or on ebay. How much will i get?

AMD 3500+ Retail
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe S939 NF4 SLI (boxed)
Connect3d Radeon X800 XL 256mb DDR (no box)

Have been using that board until recently. He could keep his RAM the difference in bandwidth between DDR and DDR2 ain't worth what it'll cost him to change, unless that is 4 sticks of 512mb he has, then it has got to go. Had damn all luck in OC'ing with the board myself.

Why not flog the x800 and go sli? Couple of 7900gs's or something?

The Asrock board is only 4x PCI-E, mightn't be up to taking a x1950xt

I had a 7900GS and using the board with an e6700 there was little or no difference in max frame rates at 1280x1024, now 1024x768 saw fps go up by 30 on FEAR and from 20 to 30 outdoors in Oblivion, but I use 1280x1024 so no gain for me.
