Hmm im just wondering if there is a motherboard that Fits

AMD Athlon 4200+ Dual core
DDR400 Ram
Geforce 6200 ( I KNOW hehe)

But allso can fit

AMD Athlong 6000+ Dual core or higher
DDR2 Top End Ram
8800GTX

Basically i have the top 3.....but in a couple of months i want to upgrade...to the bottom 3.....But i want the motherboard to start off with....

think u will be pushed there, 2 diff sockets for the CPU & 2 diiferent kind of ram, i know
some boards support ddr1 & ddr2, but not 2 boards that can do diff sockets on cpu, so probs no m8.
 
I think you will struggle with a board that has both DDR and DDR2 memory and if you did find any board that has that somehow I doubt it will be a top performing board.

So I would start by buying the mobo and RAM at the same time, and then get the new CPU and gfx card when you are ready as long as its PCi-e gfx and the same socket CPU you should be fine.
 
oh is 6000+ dual different socket, i didnt know that, thats probably why no ones answering hehe.

and yeh the motherboard and ram at same time i can do that.....but as i say i have 4200+ dual now 939 socket......so what would be some of the best CPU's i could have on a top 939 socket...
This would be for gaming

I went down the ASRock 4CoreDual VSTA route for an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU - it accomodates DDR and DDR2 RAM and also AGP and PCI-E graphics cards!! (lets you upgrade at your own pace!)

You can pick up a relatively cheap C2D now and they are great for gaming!

ps. you should know tho that the PCI-E slot is only x4, not the standard x16 (not that I've noticed much difference)

Great upgrade board but its socket 775 so you'd have to swap to an intel chip straight away. I am wanting £30 for the mobo inc p&p but if you wanted a bundle I could work out for the mobo, my E4300 CPU and coolermaster cooler??

ps. I assume your gfx card is AGP??
 
500 !!!!! NO WAY haha since i started here all i wanted to do was get into the market thing no way haha, i allways thought it was 250... :( God daym ..... im not sure if my card is agp actually... i just know its a 6200 turbocache.....have you msn ?
 
Yeah, your graphics card is AGP, just had a look.

Asrock 939Dual-Sata2 with the AM2 addin will give you S939, AM2, DDR, DDR2, AGP, PCI-E
