Is there a reccomended way of adding a program to startup C# .NET?

I'm having some problem with antivirus flagging my crap as a trojan because I add a registry entry to add the program to startup.

I'm still relatively new to desktop but afaik there's only three ways to do this;
*Registry change.
*Adding into the users startup folder (Seems problematic from my limited beta tests from 50 users I had 6 it wasn't working for. Wont scale well ).
*Adding it as a windows service(seems overkill and cant limit it to a single users account afaik).

I've been searching for an alternative for ages now and have given up.

Any ideas on another option to get around the antivirus flagging it?

You should be changing registry entries (to places like Run/RunOnce/etc) during the installer, not during normal execution. Your installer will need to request elevated privileges, too.
