sorting out my storage solution in my elite 110 case ive realised my psu is wrong way round lol(got fan facing up), however on a review site for the case i found out you can fit the sfx power supplies to free up more space for cables and if i decided to try that, what would a comparable unit to my atx supernova or least a worthy one to put in its place?

its only powering the system in my sig with couple hard drives im adding to it, so i dont even need 500w, i just dont want to spend too much if i take this path like.

Surely you can just mount it the other way up?

ha yes i have, had to so i could fit 2 3.5 hdd's du e to the psu headers in the way, but my reason behind mentioning that was for what lead me to find out about smaller power supplies and the ways to setup drives, cant find the booklet that came with the case so resorted to online.

atm i managed to put my ssd on the side panel as its less restricting than a 3.5 for the gpu fan and have my 2 3.5 drives on top with only one connected so far, ive managed to cram the cables enough to put the case cover on and for my 2nd drive i will need too add the other sata cable, i just dont know a suitable cable tidy solution for this case design which is why i was thinking about the smaller psu, my cables are not touching any fans, im just concerned about cable damage or whatever from cramming it all in lol.

Came here to say exactly this. Great PSU's!

from the sounds of it from online, these are the best you can get that are reliable, quality and strong v12 rails, i read the 450 puts down all of its power and not lose a little like others, i wasnt quite aware of how much variety there is and of good quality as silverstone always been the main favorites for small form despite not being the best and i found other units from brands ive never heard of lol

question is, would i be stupid enough to sell my current psu to fund the SF models even if its the 450w?

i know ive only had the case nearly 2 weeks now and also have a desk with a perfect shelf it goes on, but i dont see myself changing the case for awhile if at all and unless i was to go to a ryzen 1200/i3 8100 with decent itx board then id probably end up trading up to a gaming laptop instead, just my evga seems too good to pass on for the sake of cable management pretty much unless thats just me lol
