Is there a stable version of BIOS for Asus Striker Extreme?

As the title says really. Is there a stable version of BIOS for Asus Striker Extreme?

... And what are your experiences with this board?

Is it worth the extra cash? (was considering the Asus P5N32-E PLUS SLi but I heard the chipsets run very hot even without overcloacking)

Are there better alternatives?
