A friend of mine is being hassled by an ex, and it is seriously messing with her head :(

For the sake of my friends sanity, if we contact her phone company can we give them the number of said ex to stop all phone calls and messages coming from it? My friend is with Orange.

Thanks,
Jake

Is there anything on her network suppliers website?
Call some numbers, press some numbers in, ect.
Thats how a friend of mine did it.

It is not possible to block incoming calls/texts from individual numbers (at least not on most mobile networks). Depending on the handset you have, there are some programs or features that can automatically reject calls/texts from a certain number that way. Alternatively contact the network or the authorities for further advice.

Samsung phones can block numbers, won't notify you of calls/texts etc from them. Networks cannot, or at least o2 cannot.

She has a Blackberry Bold if that helps?

Well she isn't getting hassled enough to be worthy of contacting the police, just an occasional text which completely screws with my friends head and leaves her completely in the dark.

Something like this looks like the answer.

Note I've never used the above or anything similar so cannot comment or recommend it, but there is stuff out there to do this.

You could stop the source?
"I was confused, I thought this was my house, so I took my phone and threw it in a lake in Essex, because I thought it was mine.. Oh well."

As in, rather than block the number, simply change her number. I am sure a network must be able to do that.

Her personal number is also the same as her business though...so that'd be a massive inconvenience :( - Thanks anyway though dude :)

Surely this guy will just give up after a while? If it were me i'd keep ignoring it and try and laugh about how sad the person the other end is if i could.

It's 2 girls (ZOMG LEBSIANS?!?!?!)

and it's txts like 'I'm sorry for what I've done, I'll explain myself soon' - Driving my friend bonkers, its a long winded and complicated situation, the other girl won't drop it either way.

I think ignoring it is silly; it doesn't help either party. All she has to do is say "Stop contacting me.", if it's not already been said of course.
