As title. We have set up lots of PCs in one room for playing games like bad company 2 and then we thought it would be fun to play zero hour again.

Now we only had one copy back in the day and I think we were ejecting the disc once it loaded up to play Lan. Some people were running really slow laptops and we always would get some sync errors eventually.

It was the one RTS that everyone enjoyed. All games after that everyone was into different type of RTS e.g. non base building ones like COH, DOW2 ect or marmite ones like that one with tonnes of units and you are really far zoomed out for best overview.

So I was just wondering if there was a legit way to copies of this game for free? Just really want to give it a blast again now l assume the game is all patched up and we have decent PCs.

Thanks! :)

Yeah it was mainly for nostalgia and I doubt I could convince everyone to cough up a tenner each. I don't know why but I thought some digital download company might have been offering it for free now. Wishful thinking :)

You can get C&C Generals & Zero Hour box set for £7.40 with free delivery from Amazon.
There's even a variety of second hand copies for sale through Amazon even cheaper.
Don't be such a bunch of cheapskates!

lol. This thread just made me think I am sure I bought it once. Never remembered playing it.

Just had a rummage through the cupboard and there it is. Never opened. :o

It is the Deluxe edition got 4 discs in the box.

Is it any good? Might have to finally install it though might be a problem with Win7 64?

I am the only real geeky gamer out of us. The others will just buy and play one game for like the 6 months/year or so whilst it is top dog. There is no way they will buy it.

I mean seriously I spent ages trying to convince them to buy L4D2 whilst it was on the steam offer really cheap but guess what we were all playing MW2. To be fair to them they did actually buy it in the end but we hardly even played it :(

Thanks but I know I have my separate copies of generals and zero hour somewhere. It was my game discs we were using back in the day when they were still console boys :D
