Is there an app for this?

Guys,

I'm after an app that will allow me to compare folders for changes/additions etc. and then allow me to 'update' them so they are both the same - it'll be some kind of syncing program I'm guessing?

It's for a system backup that I try to perform each month (110gb) on my main setup but just lately I've noticed its only certain files/folders that I'm actually modifying/adding so it seems a bit pointless copying everything over - it'd be nice to have it a bit quicker too…

Some kind of integrity check at the end would be nice too

Any ideas?

FreeFileSync will do most (if not all) of that

It's quite happy with large numbers of files (i regularly use it to sync over 2 million files)

Allway Sync can do incremental backups. It is quite verstile

Do these apps automatically sync system/protected files etc, without prompting you or just not copying them?
