Is there any benefit of 4gb in windows xp?

Is there any benefit of 4gb in windows xp over 2gB?
I'm tempted to by another couple of gig now that the prices are so low, but not sure if it will make much difference.
I do have quite heavy ram requirements due to music production sampler vst's.

You will need Xp64 to make full use of the 4GB. x86 can only address 3gb IIRC. I'd say if it aint broke, dont fix it. If things are running ok for you now, then dont bother.

Wait for the 2x2gb kits to become popular and lower in price, and upgrade to them.

You wont see a performance boost. Tho the extra ram will be handy for memory storage.
