is there any filters that blocks out Electrical Interference

ive just had a aerial bloke out he was useless i knew more than him, im getting Electrical Interference i was wondering if you can get a filter that blocks it out, ive asked around to see if anyone has had anything new that would be affecting it, no luck there

it happens all the time but it gets worse at night, the weekend just gone, on staurday morning it got better you couldn't really see the white dots but by saturday night it got worse,

its horizontal bands comprising of a multitude of white dots, at the moment its horizontal white specs, that stay at the top&bottom for say 30seconds then it moves down the screen and then starts fresh

as i will be moving within 6months or just over i dont want to spend a lot for someone to fit everything new

Why was he useless......what did he say?

It sounds like you have an amplifier somewhere. 99% of times the problem will be another electrical appliance near your amplifier.

The problem is you can't really test for impluse inteference, short of looking at the frequency on a spectrum analyser.

I would say find the amp, and then unplugd everything nearby one at a time, untill the inteference stops. It might be your something like your boiler etc.

its nothing to do with anything in the house why was he useless well i was the one telling him what it was, for all he knew it could have been something near the aerial, but did he look no, well im getting in contacy with my local elec board to see what it is, thats one lot of aerial people i would never use, he stood at the tv for 5minutes not saying anything, then he said well you have a problem, i use to install tvs and other stuff so i like to stand back and watch and see what they say, just to see if they try to bluff their way this lot did.
