as per title really, is there any point in trying to haggle on the below.

I'm picking up a 2013 ix35 on Wednesday evening. I'm getting 2 grand px on my beat up 2008 Qashqai, which is more than fair to my mind as I'd put a few feelers out and private sale wasn't going to net me much if anything more without me spending money tarting it up a bit. so it's the px + 8k cash.
the car is having a seat re-upholstered and a small dent 'taken out' and comes with 12month warranty and roadside assistance etc.
deposits paid so probably pointless trying anything now but is there anything I should try and squeeze out of them?
only thing I can think is they said they'll tax it and I can pay that when paying the balance, would it be cheeky to expect or ask them to throw the cost of the tax in?!

Surely your chance to negotiate was before paying the deposit and agreeing to collect?

I think in their minds the deal is done at the agreed price.

Sounds like the deal.is done, you can try bit tbh you should've thrashed out the deal before parting with any cash.

oh agreed, just wanted to know if it was a thing, haggling after the event - whether successful or not. I done alright out of the px value so didn't bother pushing any harder. think i'll chance my arm on the tax as it was a sort of 'add on' just as I was on the phone paying the deposit.

Ship has sailed most likely, but don't ask don't get. Worth a try. See if there's any little niggles you can argue over instead of basically being 'oi bruv, knock a bit more off ye'

lol aye, I'm happy with the price I paid to be honest and as I say more than happy with the trade in value I got on my own motor. I'm a total nub when it comes to cars (always driven worked supplied cars - even the car I owned was bought off of the company I work for) so wasn't sure what was and wasn't the done thing.

Like others have said, deal is done. I'd just make doubly sure the seat/dent repairs are done to a high standard before accepting it.

oh without doubt, they know it'll move nowhere unless both are put 'as new'

to be fair to them they have been very clear that that will be the case. I'm happy they have been very honest (well as honest as car salesmen can be :p) from the out set. just the miserable sod in me is always looking something more!
