I want to install go laucnher ex on a nexus 4 because i like some of the apps that come with it. Has anybody installed a launcher on a stock android here and if so what does it feel like?

thanks

Should feel as smooth as the stock launcher. If you like the Go apps, go for it. I have a Nexus 10 but I found the stock launcher quite limiting compared to go/adw on my gingerbread device, so installed Apex launcher on it and haven't looked back since :).

Why would there not be a point in installing a launcher on any phone whether it's a Nexus or not? People install them because they offer more features than any stock one and the most popular ones out there today have no speed issues or anything either.

Sorry, very basic question but I'm new to android.

If I install a different launcher and don't like it, is it easy to revert back? Is it simply a case of uninstalling like any other app, or do you have to somehow reinstall the stock one again?

Yup, the stock will still be installed, it's just like apps. Easy as that :).
